The Faculty of Economics, Management, Information Technology and Law was founded in 2004. In 2008, the Faculty was reorganized into the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Economics, Management and Information Technology. In 2019, in order to optimize the work of the university, it was decided to reduce the number of faculties and merge the Faculty of Economics, Management and Information Technology with the Faculty of Law.
Strategic goals of the Faculty of Economics and Law:
- structural and substantive transformation of educational programs in accordance with the national qualifications system and modern labor market requirements;
- improving the process of teaching, learning and evaluation;
- ensuring the wide and effective use of information technologies in the educational process;
- training of qualified specialists in the field of economics and management, aimed at innovative activities, able to compete in the conditions of modernization of the economy;
- preparation of bachelors and masters of law with a broad outlook, fundamental theoretical knowledge in the field of law, creative thinking, analytical abilities, having practical skills and competitive in the modern labor market;
- ensuring cooperation with leading specialists of Artsakh, Armenia;
- organizing and conducting lectures and seminars with invited teachers;
- improving the efficiency of the internal quality assurance system.

For a more effective organization of the training of lawyers at the faculty there is a forensic laboratory. The presence of such an audience allows students to apply their theoretical knowledge in practice.
